Associations
LEXPERT, Inc. (now located in both Columbus, Ohio, and Charlottesville, Virginia) and ATA ASSOCIATES, Inc. (located in Houston, Texas) have formed an association to give their clients a much larger base of expertise and facilities for analysis, testing and research. This association has benefitted their clients in many ways while not changing the costs nor the quality of the work performed.
LEXPERT, Inc. was formed in 1985 to provide scientific and technical services for attorneys. The individuals who provide the expertise for LEXPERT are mostly current or former university faculty members who hold advanced degrees, research and/or teaching backgrounds in their fields of expertise. These professionals have years of experience in the litigation of cases involving accident reconstruction, product liability, human factors considerations, accepted practices in the work place, or patent infringement, both on the plaintiff and defense sides. The individuals consulting through LEXPERT have been retained by corporations, insurance companies, manufacturers, and individual plaintiffs. At the present time, there are more than 20 individuals who do some or all of their consulting through LEXPERT. The areas of expertise include the basics such as human factors, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, chemical engineering, metallurgy, accident reconstruction, and biomechanics. LEXPERT also has experts working in other areas such as agricultural engineering, product and work place safety, and force analysis and dynamics.
ATA ASSOCIATES, Inc. was formed in 1974 as an accident reconstruction company. It has been built into a world renown engineering and technology company that not only provides litigation support, but also provides training, videography as well as photography, 3-D animations and testing for the automobile, trucking, amusement, petrochemical, marine, railroad, and aviation industries. ATA headquarters consist of an unique Technology Center for vehicle inspection, technical analysis, testing, photography and storage. The facility houses a 7500 sq.ft. high bay area with a ten ton moving crane for safe and secure movement of large objects along with a 10,000 pound capacity vehicle lift for inspections, testing and analysis. The facility also has wood and metal fabrication shops, a photo grid, and FARO digitizing capabilities. ATA possesses cutting edge technology for creating computer graphics, 3-D animations, non-linear video editing, and photography. ATA also has Rapid Response Teams capable of mobilizing necessary personnel and equipment to respond to an accident site in a timely and effective manner.
